Please note that district information on the North Carolina General Assembly website has not been updated to reflect redistricting. Accordingly, use this link for the State Board of Elections and then follow the link for "Sample Ballot." If you still can't find what district you live in, print and use the candidate evaluations from the GRNC web site which are sorted by last name.

NC Auditor

There has been some confusion surrounding the fact that GRNC did not provide evaluations for the Republican Primary for NC State Auditor. When GRNC chooses not to cover a race it is generally because there are too many candidates (e.g. judicial races) or because the office sought is tangential to gun rights. It is not due to lack of worthy candidates.

In retrospect, we should have covered the race - particularly given that we covered NC Treasurer and Secretary of State. Because no surveys were issued in the race, however, GRNC-PVF cannot make a recommendation, noting only that candidate Debra Goldman, a self-described gun enthusiast, did, in fact, ask us to cover the race, and that candidate Fern Shubert garnered a 100% pro-gun voting record while serving in the NC General Assembly.
