Directions: Legislative Building is located at 16 W. Jones St., Raleigh, across from the NC Museum of History. From out of town: I-40 to exit 298B (Hwy 70 & 401). After exit, turn right onto 401/70 (also called Saunders St.) north. After about .7 mile, Saunders and 401 split: Bear right to stay on 401, which turns into McDowell St. You will go approx. 7 blocks before turning right onto Jones St. (note: as a "heads up," the street immediately prior to Jones is Edenton). The next intersection will be with Salisbury St. Go straight. Half way down block you will see Legislative Building on left and Museum of History on right. (Note: The Legislative Building is only about 100 yds after you cross Salisbury).
Once parked, go into the Jones St. entrance of the Legislative Building. Once inside, turn left into the interior courtyard. Inside that interior courtyard, on the right, will be a window for the Printed Bills office (this is where you can copies of proposed legislation). We usually meet at one of the tables near that window. If lost, ask for Printed Bills.
Parking: Go past the Legislative Building, cross Wilmington St., and turn right into the open lot. If lot is full, try to find on-street parking. This can be difficult and is metered unless you go further down Jones. I can usually find un-metered parking by continuing on Jones past the Governor's mansion (on left) and then turning left onto Person St. (I *think* it is Person St.). It is a bit of a hike, but keeps you from having to add money to a meter.
