Tell Republican Senators to Keep Their Promise
Grass Roots North Carolina is asking you to call key Republican Senators now to help pass pro-gun House Bill 746, which will come close to establishing constitutional carry and dramatically expand the ability of lawful citizens to carry firearms for self-protection.
On Thursday, Senate leader Phil Berger said, “The people of North Carolina expect their elected officials to keep their word.” Yes, we do. And the word they have given us in the Republican state platform says: “We support constitutional carry statutes and salute the states that have passed them.”
HB 746 will die unless it receives a Senate vote this week. So please phone the key senators listed below, and also send an email to the entire Republican Senate caucus. Remind Senate leadership, and the others, to keep their word by passing HB 746.

On Thursday, Senate leader Phil Berger said, “The people of North Carolina expect their elected officials to keep their word.”
I could not agree more with the senator, and I am writing to insist that Mr. Berger, you, and indeed all Senate Republicans keep the promises of the Republican Party’s platform. The platform plainly states: “We support constitutional carry statutes and salute the states that have passed them.” To hold to your own party’s platform, you must pass the gun rights bill, HB 746, now.
I will be monitoring your actions on this important issue through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.
