WAFFLE-PRONE REPUBLICANS
NEED TO HEAR FROM YOU

Too many House Republicans have a wishy-washy record on important gun bills. They've failed you before. . .

Important protections to your right to keep and bear arms will be considered by the North Carolina legislature on Monday, and every single vote is critical. Yet, if the past is any indication, not every single vote can be counted on.

You’re receiving this alert, because quite a few Republican representatives have waffled, and even voted against your rights in the past. These unreliable politicians must be made aware that we are watching, and we are taking notes!

To make sure your representative actually stands up for your rights when it matters, inform him or her that you are paying attention, and insist that they do what’s right. Below, learn what you can do to make sure your representative does the right thing when it counts—this coming week.

IMMEDIATE ACTION REQUIRED!

  • CALL YOUR REPRESENTATIVE NOW:
By Monday, call your representative and tell him or her to support your gun rights by insuring that all gun bills receive committee hearings, that they are moved to the floor for a vote, and insist that he or she support these bills with his or her votes.
If you are sent to voicemail, please leave a message.

Suggested Email Subject:
"There will be Political Consequences if Gun Bills Fail"

Dear Representative:

Unfortunately, voting records from previous legislative sessions prove some Republican representatives to be less than reliable on pro-gun bills. Therefore, I find it necessary to contact you to insist that you stand with others in your caucus for gun rights during this legislative session; particularly this critical, upcoming week.

Several strong and important gun bills are currently being considered, and I insist that you do everything in your power to help shepherd these bills through committee, onto the floor for a vote, and then to the governor’s desk.

Gun-rights voters need your votes on these bills. We are watching and taking notes, and we will know exactly whom to blame should these bills fail. Legislators who do not live up to their pro-Second Amendment campaign rhetoric will suffer political consequences, up to and including tens of thousands of gun-rights voters sitting out the 2018 election. You can count on it.

I will be monitoring your actions on this matter through Grass Roots North Carolina legislative alerts.

Respectfully,
