I was quite pleased with the passage of HB 174 on Monday night. Thank you for getting that done.

I am also writing today to remind you that the clock is still ticking on this legislative session, and I still haven't seen any of the other marquee gun bills brought to the floor for a vote.

North Carolina voters have given your party the majority in Raleigh for the express purpose of supporting and passing legislation such as these important gun-bills. As encouraging as they may be, a sprinkling of small, ancillary gun bills is not going to satisfy the voting citizenry. I must insist that you follow through, not only on the smaller bills, but also, and especially, on  the marquee bills noted below:

• Constitutional Carry (H69 and H201)
• Concealed carry on UNC and community college campuses by CHP-holders (H251)
• The Omnibus Firearms Bill (H345)
• Concealed Handgun Standardization Act (H438)
• Elimination of the Jim Crow-era PPP system (H201)
