Scotland County Commissioners to discuss and possibly vote on concealed carry in parks TONIGHT...

Scotland County will take up the issue of whether to attempt to circumvent the spirit of the new law permitting Concealed Carry in public parks like so many other local governments have since HB 650 (Castle Doctrine and Parks Carry) passed into law. We have it from a good source that a vote to institute an ordinance to restrict concealed county in Scotland County parks will be very close. One vote either way may decide the outcome.

Also, the Greensboro City Council will meet TOMORROW

  • Those near Greensboro are urged to attend.
  • The meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, at 5:29 pm the Council Chambers.

DELIVER THIS MESSAGE TO SCOTLAND COUNTY COMMISSIONERS

Dear County Commissioner:

I urge you to respect the new law allowing law-abiding citizens the right to self-defense within county parks. Concealed carry holders have repeatedly proven to be sane, sober, and law-abiding over the last 16 years that North Carolina's CCW ordinance has been in force. Any concerns you have in regards to concealed carry in parks are totally unfounded. Not only have the "wild west" scenarios laid out by those unwisely opposing the concealed carry law never materialized, but in fact everywhere concealed carry is allowed, crime has gone down. It is time to stop restricting self-defense in county parks as well.

Respect my right of self-defense in dangerous locations. I will be monitoring your actions via Grass Roots North Carolina legislative alerts.

Respectfully,

An NC Gun-Owner and Voter

DELIVER THIS MESSAGE TO GREENSBORO CITY COUNCILORS

Dear Greensboro City Councilor:

Greensboro is one of the most dangerous cities in North Carolina. Suggestions that Greensboro Parks are crime-free are simply not credible.

Respect my right of self-defense in dangerous locations. I will be monitoring your actions via Grass Roots North Carolina legislative alerts.

Respectfully,

An NC Gun-Owner and Voter
