GRNC SAYS "KEEP UP THE PRESSURE"

PUSH FOR REPEAL OF

PISTOL PURCHASE PERMIT

We need people to show up on Wednesday at 9: 00 AM at the NC General Assembly 16 West Jones Street at the Printed Bills office where GRNC will have a table set up. You will be asked to go to legislators offices and tell them to repeal the racist, Jim Crow-era pistol purchase permit law that some sheriffs are using to obstruct handgun buyers.

Please show up at 9:00 AM and confirm you will be there by emailing DirectorOfDevelopment@GRNC.org Bloomberg will almost certainly be paying gun control advocates to show up, so BE THERE!

Progress is being made - H398, the bill to completely repeal the antiquated Pistol Purchase Permit system, has been scheduled for Wednesday!

As you know, particularly over the past year, certain county Sheriffs (Wake, Mecklenburg, and Guilford, we're looking at you...) have done their best to continually deny their residents their inalienable right to self-defense by dragging their feet on, and in some cases even halting, the issuance of pistol purchase permits. Since the counties with the biggest problem contain the largest cities in the state, this has had a chilling effect on the ability of many people to exercise their Second Amendment rights and protect themselves.

Some of our Republican representatives have once again put forth a bill to rectify this, and finally the NC Sheriffs' Association has recognized that this system needs to be repealed, so they are now in full support of H398!

This is a call to action to bombard the Republican representatives with a message that they must not compromise their oath of fealty and loyalty to the Constitution. Every opportunity that presents itself to undo damage to the Constitution must be taken advantage of. Urge them to support H398 during this week's vote!

To paraphrase the late Senator Everett Dirksen: “When they feel the heat, they see the light.” WE MUST MAKE THEM FEEL THE HEAT.

Over many years, and under many pretenses, those who would deny you the natural right to self-defense have been hard at work-- the leftists are now poised to try to take it all—GRNC and YOU, together, must fight to make them begin to give back what they have taken.

**ADDENDUM** We are aware of the potential protests looming, especially in Elizabeth City. Please remember that your right to carry firearms for self-defense during any state of emergency is STILL INTACT, thanks to the ruling in Bateman v. Perdue, courtesy of GRNC!
