We knew the attacks were coming. Candidate Biden told us so when he was interviewed by the Las Vegas Sun back in January 2020:
“So, I am absolutely convinced I can get [gun control legislation] passed. The way we did it last time is we included it in a larger bill that had really good things in it like the Violence Against Women Act, community policing, etc. So, the way you give cover to some of our Republican friends is you put it in a larger bill. They (Republicans) say, “Look, I had to vote for it.”
Now he’s in and the leftist control obsession blood is in Congressional waters. The feeding frenzy is about to begin.
For example, Houston Representative Sheila Jackson Lee’s  deceivingly named H.R. 127, the “Mental Health Access and Gun Violence Prevention Act” and Representative Carolyn Maloney [D-NY] whose 5 bills H.R. 1004, 1005, 1006, 1007 and 1008 are, simply put, an attempt towards total civilian disarmament.
Anti-Civil Rights attorney general appointment
No doubt more are coming but if these laws pass, who, you ask, will be enforcing them?
None other than Merrick Garland, Biden’s nominee for Attorney General. Yes, the very same anti-civil rights leftist who Barack Obama nominated in 2016 to replace Antonin Scalia on the Supreme Court.
So where is Garland on the 2nd Amendment? The news is not only bad but very clear.
Back in 2007, Judge Garland voted to undo a D.C. Circuit court decision which struck down one of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation. It even prohibited guns kept in one’s own house for self-defense.
In short, even if the nutty legislation proposed by Lee and Maloney don’t pass in full, it’s still reasonable to assume that Garland will give lots of room for both the DOJ and ATF to apply their power of the regulatory state to restrict or deny our rights as legal gun owners. Essentially, they take repressive action, then say, “So, sue me!”
Recent repressive actions by the ATF give us a clear preview of what’s probable if the new Attorney General is not at least neutral and unbiased. In other words, not already prepared to give government power and authority over our established but constantly threatened right to keep and bear arms.
Garland, based on the cases he’s been involved in, has demonstrated that he will not defend our 2nd Amendment rights as established law..
We need to move quickly to make clear our distrust of Garland to Tillis and McConnell, both of whom are said to be fully on board with Garland.
McConnell seemed to realize that Garland wasn’t a good choice for the Supreme Court in 2016. So, given Garland’s opposition to letting Heller stand in the District of Columbia, what has changed for McConnell to find Garland so agreeable in 2021?  Has Senate Minority Leader McConnell lost his mind and turned anti-civil rights?
Let’s be CLEAR!  A vote confirming Merrick Garland is a vote AGAINST our civil rights.
Now, immediately, BEFORE its too late, contact Senators Burr, Tillis and Minority Leader McConnell and let them know you vigorously OPPOSE sacrificing our Constitutional Rights on the Altar of Bipartisan Compromise>

Suggested Subject: "Stop Appointment of Anti-Civil Rights Attorney General"

Dear Senator:

I’m writing to you today to voice my concerns that you stop the ongoing assault against our common sense civil rights stemming from the control obsession from the authoritarian left.

The left is proposing a slew of new laws that will shred the Bill of Rights, and with this appointment they will be enforced by an overzealous DOJ led by Merrick Garland.

Justice is supposed to be blind, but this will no longer be the case with Mr. Garland leading the pack. You must object to this nomination. I will be monitoring your actions on this important matter through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.
