Dear Representatives:
I am writing to voice my support for the current House Bill 110 titled "The Religious Assembly Security and Protection Act of 2019," and to insist that you approve it in the K-12 committee as written.
This bill will close a loophole and will provide much-needed protections to churches that host schools or school activities on church school property. Allowing church members to carry outside the hours of regular school activities can only make the church safer, and this will not result in the indiscriminate carrying of firearms outside of school hours as some of this bill's detractors have falsely claimed.
I'm sure that you are as concerned as I am about acts of violence being perpetrated against innocent people engaged in prayer and worship, and I urge you to give this bill your complete support.
I will be monitoring this bill closely through alerts from Grass Roots North Carolina.
