GRNC Full Auto Classic A Success

The sounds of freedom resonated about the Fraternal Order of Police range in Statesville on Saturday, May 6. The GRNC Full Auto Classic helped raise much needed funds for the Remember in November project through which over 80,000 voter guides are distributed to gun owners across North Carolina.

OUR VOLUNTEERS ARE OUR LIFEBLOOD
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our volunteers, the Full Auto Classic was well received and valuable feedback was collected to make this an even better event going forward. It is with great pride that GRNC announces the intent to continue this event in future years and to improve on the experience each year. Event director Charles French and a host of GRNC volunteers turned in a stellar effort on this exciting day.

In addition to the fun provided by gun rights author John Ross with his collection of hard-to-find machine guns, shooting demonstrations by the Single Action Shooters and the matches our members participated in, there was also education. During the shoot, seminars took place in the clubhouse covering topics such as Legislative Tactics and Media Management.

In addition to John Ross, attendees got to spend time with state Senator Hugh Webster, Republican congressional nominee Vernon Robinson and Thomas Faulk, author of Firearms Law of North Carolina. At the annual dinner, state Representative Mark Hilton outlined the opportunities and pitfalls awaiting gun owners in the legislature.

A great time was had by all and we look forward to even more joining in next year as we learn how to more effectively spread the word on this fine event. But for now, there is still work to do. Together we can climb mountains as we have in the past. Let's roll up our sleeves and get to it.

The GRNC Full Auto Classic was intended to raise money for our ambitious "Remember in November" voter education project, through which we distribute more than 80,000 candidate guides throughout the state. But that is only part of GRNC's election-related effort.

GRNC-PVF: Throw the bums out!

By state law, GRNC is limited in using organizational funds for direct impact on elections. To do so, we must use the GRNC Political Victory Fund, our federally-registered political action committee and keep a firewall between organization and PAC funds. Translation? To throw the bums out in November, GRNC-PVF NEEDS MONEY!
