Are you tired of watching pro-gun bills pass overwhelmingly in the North
Carolina House and then stop dead in the Democrat-controlled Senate?
Although the redistricting process has been frustrating for all, it
has created some remarkable opportunities to reform the North Carolina
Senate—a Senate which, under the control of MARC BASNIGHT (D-Dare, GRNC
1-star), has repeatedly refused hearings for concealed handgun reciprocity
bills and other pro-gun legislation. With your support, the GRNC-PVF
intends to change the political landscape of that body.
In particular, the candidates listed below (including one for NC House who
is running against anti-gun incumbent JENNIFER WEISS) are LEADERS who will
defend your rights. The GRNC-PVF strongly suggests that you support them
through money and volunteer efforts REGARDLESS OF WHETHER YOU LIVE IN
THEIR DISTRICTS.

which you may respond "Decline to state.")
SEN. HUGH WEBSTER
(R-Alamance, Caswell, Person, GRNC ****)
Earning GRNC’s highest 4-star evaluation, Sen. Webster has repeatedly led
the charge for the Second Amendment in the NC Senate, including not only
sponsoring pro-gun legislation but spearheading procedural initiatives on
more bills than we can count. In fact, Basnight’s Senate had initially
created a district in which Hugh couldn’t win. But fortunately, that
district has been thrown out and HUGH WEBSTER IS NOW RUNNING IN A
WINNABLE DISTRICT. Given the late date, however, he desperately needs
your help and is holding a fund raiser as described below. GRNC president
Paul Valone is a sponsor for the dinner, and will be attending.

Directions: From Raleigh: Take NC 86 to Yanceyville at the intersection of
NC 86 and US 158 (the only traffic light in town...Hardee's & McDonald's)
turn right onto County Home Road. Go approx. 2 miles. Caswell Pines on
right. From Burlington take NC 62 North to Yanceyville then NC 86.
MARK MCDANIEL vs. KAY HAGAN
As a former state senator who, 1995, spearheaded the charge to get
concealed carry passed the NC Senate, Mark McDaniel (R-Guilford, GRNC
****) has proven himself an ardent defender of the Second Amendment. He
has sponsored numerous pro-gun bills and amendments to other legislation,
and proven himself a highly capable candidate and legislator.
Best of all, McDaniel is running in Senate District 27 against Sen. KAY
HAGAN (GRNC 0-star), the anti-gun chair of the Senate J-II Committee
which, despite your entreaties, has thus far REFUSED A HEARING FOR
CONCEALED HANDGUN RECIPROCITY.

DARRYL BLACK vs. **JENNIFER WEISS**
Do you remember last year’s "Rapist Protection Act?" It would have
subjected lawful gun owners to criminal prosecution for firearms stolen
from them and misused, even if the gun owner had kept the gun locked up.
The sponsor of the bill was JENNIFER WEISS (D-Wake, GRNC 0-star) of Cary.
Fortunately, DARRYL BLACK (R-Wake, GRNC ****) has elected to run against
Weiss in House District 35, and needs **your** help! As a freshman
legislator, Weiss has so far introduced not only the Rapist Protection Act
but also the Medical Records Disclosure Act—a bill requiring certain
mental health providers to turn over medical records to state bureaucrats.
Rest assured Weiss will continue to attack your rights UNLESS YOU REMOVE
HER FROM OFFICE!
