GRNC
revitalizes its federally-registered political action committee for May
primaries
Because organizations like GRNC are
prohibited from direct election action, the GRNC Political Victory Fund,
our federally-registered political action committee, is our primary tool
for electing pro-gun candidates and punishing those who betray you.
Remember how Teddy Roosevelt said to
walk softly and carry a big stick? GRNC-PVF is that stick. GRNC has
volunteer members who sit in and watch our legislators in action. We let
the legislators know in no uncertain terms what our stand is on gun
rights: No compromises!
Politicians
know we back up our words with action…
Ø
First, with GRNC alerts
asking you to e-mail, phone and write your legislators to tell them
where you stand on individual bills and what they
must do;
Ø
Second, with our highly
successful “Remember in November” voter guide, containing objective
candidate evaluations, distributed to nearly 100,000 gun owners
to educate them on where legislators stand on gun rights;
Ø
Third and most
importantly, at election time when GRNC-PVF uses radio
advertising, direct mail and contributions to pro-gun candidates to
create the sort of legislature that will preserve the right to keep and
bear arms.
GRNC
can’t use member dues for elections
Federal and state election laws restrict
GRNC money being used to support or oppose any candidate or position at
election time. Therefore, GRNC-PVF funds must be raised separate from
GRNC funds and cannot be mixed.
In short, GRNC-PVF does what GRNC
cannot: Punish anti-gun politicians and elect pro-gun legislators.

Both GRNC and GRNC-PVF are all-volunteer
efforts. However, mailings and radio ads require money. We are
prohibited from using membership dues for political advocacy, so we are

As of October 2nd 2007, the Grass Roots
North Carolina Forum for Firearm Education Political Victory Fund
(GRNC-PVF) appointed Grant Gardner as Treasurer. Grant is a GRNC
Life member and a long-time SASS member. Grant has worked hard to
ensure GRNC-PVF is fully compliant with state and federal election laws.

cannot accept corporate checks.
