“Moms Demand a Gun Ban” is at it again. Last Saturday, the nagging group of moms once again appeared at a Harris Teeter location to demand a gun ban at Harris Teeter stores. This time, their theatrics involved cutting up their discount cards, and announcing that they will shop elsewhere for their Super Bowl supplies, since Harris Teeter refuses to institute a gun ban. Of course this means that shoppers with real sense now know exactly where they can shop for the big game without being surrounded by shrill, hand-wringing gun-grabbers.
Thank Harris Teeter for Not Caving
When asked about the Mom’s demand, the Harris Teeter store manager said:
| “Harris Teeter takes very seriously its responsibility to provide both its associates and its customers a safe environment in which to work and shop. We have and will continue to adhere to the firearms and concealed handgun laws as outlined by the states in which we do business. We believe this issue is best handled by lawmakers, not retailers.” |
